The farm Eide in Norddal municipality (Norway) consist of two cadastral farm units, Indreeide (Inner) and Eide (Heimre=Near). The two farms are divided by a lake at the end of the valley Ytterdal. Both farms consists of several family farm units (farm holdings), and there is Q paternal lines both at Indreeide and one at Heimre Eide. They share the same terminal SNP, Q-BY38347, however the genealogical records of the early 17th century show no immediate relationsship.

The map of area shows Eide in the North of the lake Eidsvatnet, and Indreeide at the southern shore of lake Eidsvatnet. Eidsvatnet is 425 masl.
