How do the Q-YP5097 look like? Probably very handsome and good-looking! On this page some of the paternal Qs will be presented in order to give some images and ideas on how the real persons behind the genetics looked like. The Q persons below are order by birth year, not by branch.

Q1 (Shetland): John William Laurenson born 1852, Whalsay, Shetland belongs to the Shetland-branch of Q-YP5097. He migrated to New Zealand and settled near Christchurch, NZL.

Q3 (Geiranger): Petter Andreas Lillebø b. 1859 in Sunnylven, Norway. Mr. Lillebø looks like a sheriff from the wildest West, however he was teacher and local historian in Sunnylven (Stranda). He also belonged to the Geiranger-branch and was 2nd cousin of Ole Karl (below).

Q4 (Geiranger): Ole Karl Martinusson Ljøen b. 1865 in Sunnylven, Norway, and he belong to the Geiranger-branch. Even when he was close to 90 years old he did not turn grey, so I am a bit envious. His occupation was road construction worker.
